Bartosz Sikorski works at the intersection of painting, object, moving image, sound and installation.

His practice often begins with systems: colour models, pixel structures, musical intervals, repeated gestures, scores or technical constraints. Rather than treating these systems as closed conceptual frameworks, he follows them into material, spatial and sonic situations.

Painting is central, but it rarely remains only a surface. It can become a tool, a residue, an object, a screen, a sound source, a fragment of a score or a spatial marker. In many works, structures that appear controlled begin to drift, fail or transform.

Sound is not added as background or atmosphere. It functions as a structural layer: a way of organizing space, rhythm, interval and listening. Speakers, exciters, cables, projectors and supports often remain visible, becoming part of the work’s physical anatomy.

Across different media, the work asks how a system can become a body — through colour, material resistance, sound, repetition, calibration, error and the viewer’s movement through space.
